He also volunteered his musical services at many churches, local nursing homes & veterans associations, specifically Lutheran Knolls. He was known as an avid Phillies Fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 9 siblings, Charles, Wilbert & Olaf Halvorsen, Jr., Louise, Grace, and Lena Mae Halvorsen, Mildred Fulmer, Carrie Koechart, and Helen Brown.
